Goose Creek Rural FD Consolidates Communication Channels with First Arriving Digital Dashboards

“We have so much information to get out it's hard to get it out on just one medium,” training officer Corey Dickerson said. First Arriving first peaked the department’s interest because “it seemed like a user-friendly tool that did the job and could solve our ongoing communication headache.

Two stations at Goose Creek Rural Fire Department are now fully equipped with First Arriving Dashboards.

The department was primarily interested in revamping their in-station communication. They were looking to eliminate paper bulletin boards, which has served as their primary mode of communication.

“We have so much information to get out it’s hard to get it out on just one medium,” training officer Corey Dickerson said. First Arriving first peaked the department’s interest because “it seemed like a user-friendly tool that did the job and could solve our ongoing communication headache.”

Goose Creek serves a large population and has a total of 60 members working in the department, who go on about 1200 calls a year. Communicating efficiently with everyone at their stations was an important goal to ensure the department functions in the best way for the community and they have found this solution with First Arriving.

“The dashboards are a useful tool and we are very happy with them,” Dickerson said.
