Digital Dashboards Improve Day-to-Day Operations at Tallmadge FD

What the department needed was to get all of the members accurately informed during their shifts, no matter what station they are in or what shift they are on. Digital dashboards became a great solution, which is why Nicholas Sansom, firefighter and paramedic wanted them.

In the predominantly veteran community of Tallmadge, OH, the local fire department serves around 16,000 people with two stations that go on about 3000 EMS and Fire calls.

The department was looking for a solution to keep members accurately informed during their shifts, no matter what station they are in or what shift they are on. This problem led Tallmadge to First Arriving Dashboards.

“For us, it’s about the dissemination of information,” firefighter and paramedic, Nicholas Sansom said. He found out about the Dashboards through another department’s social media page and then went online to find out more information on them. He quickly came across First Arriving and reached out to find out exactly how dashboards could help everyone in Tallmadge FD.

Now with the digital dashboards installed, members are more prepared when they go on calls with the vital information the dashboards provide them.

“It’s been fantastic working with the team at First Arriving,” Sansom said. “We’ve been doing subtle changes and when we put in a ticket for an update, First Arriving gets right back to me. It’s been a seamless experience.”
